We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 8 to 12 years of experience in Windows Server Admin Active Directory Admin Vmware administration and Nutanix Administration. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model during the day shift. This role does not require travel. The candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
Responsibilities
Primary Skill
Candidate MUST have knowledge of -
· Windows Admin
· Install and configure Windows servers (2012/2016/2019/2022) and services.
· Configure and manage Server Roles and Features (e.g. IIS DNS DHCP File and Print Services).
· Ensure regular system updates patches and hotfixes via WSUS or SCCM.Perform routine maintenance tasks including disk cleanup defragmentation and performance tuning.
· Monitor server performance using tools like Performance Monitor Task Manager and third-party monitoring solutions.
· Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues network connectivity problems and system failures.
· Use Event Viewer and Syslog for error logging and analysis.
· Design and maintain Active Directory infrastructure including domain controllers trust relationships and sites.
· Manage and configure Group Policies to enforce security settings and administrative tasks.
· Maintain and update AD schema ensure efficient replication and troubleshoot AD-related issues.
· Manage user accounts groups and access controls using Active Directory and Azure AD.
· Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO).

· Nutanix Admin
· Administer and operate Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) systems.
· Configure and deploy Nutanix hardware and software components including Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) and Prism interface.
· Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance.
· Provide technical support and resolve hardware and software issues.
· Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and log analysis to prevent future issues.
· Maintain documentation related to system configurations and procedures.
· Optimize storage performance using Nutanix AOS storage services and best practices.
· Implement and manage Nutanix Flow for network security and micro-segmentation.
· Utilize Nutanix Calm for application automation and lifecycle management.
· Configure and manage Nutanix Files for scalable file storage solutions.
· Implement disaster recovery solutions using Nutanix Leap and protection domains.
· VMware Admin
· Monitor and manage VMware environments including vSphere ESXi hosts and vCenter servers.
· Configure and maintain virtual machines (VMs) templates and snapshots.
· Perform regular system updates patches and backups.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage network and performance.
· Implement and manage disaster recovery solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM).
· Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
· Optimize resource allocation using Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and High Availability (HA) configurations.
· Automate tasks using PowerCLI and other scripting tools.
· Manage and configure VMware NSX for network virtualization.
· Utilize vRealize Operations Manager for performance monitoring and capacity planning.
· Implement and manage VMware vSAN for hyper-converged infrastructure.
· Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new systems and solutions.
· Ensure high availability and performance of virtualized environments.
· Participate in on-call support for troubleshooting and maintenance.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Application Expiration Date: 2/18/2025
The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
