Responsibilities:
- Consult directly with clients and provide advisory services designed to help them solve their most complex business and technology challenges around M&A
- Serve as a true management consultant, assisting clients in identifying the right post-merger sourcing strategies
- Design solutions that reduce the overlap of IT in the merged companies by rationalizing application portfolios and IT organizations.
- Lead IT Strategy engagements and guide clients to successful business outcomes by identifying ways to improve the IT operating model, enhancing assuring end-user satisfaction with integrated systems, improving communications, enhancing process, defining new business models, and supporting IT capabilities needed to create competitive advantage
- Serve as an Engagement Manager in a client-facing setting; design our approach, identify appropriate tools and methodologies, lead client workshops and discussions, perform analyses, draw conclusions, formulate strategic recommendations based upon those, and develop business cases and roadmaps to lead us there
- Assess client’s and target’s IT organizations and define operating models which are aligned to business objectives (IT Organization Assessment, IT Governance, Workforce Optimization, IT Skill Assessment, IT Process Improvement, IT Portfolio Management, Project Prioritization, SDLC assessments, etc.)
- Conduct and lead Application Portfolio Rationalization assessments to determine the best technology disposition of client’s IT application portfolio
- Conduct IT Cost Optimization assessments to help IT leaders assess their IT budgets and identify cost optimization/ rationalization opportunities
- Contribute to the collective knowledge of the practice; participate in business development initiatives
Qualifications and skills required:
- MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred; Bachelor degree required
- 8-14 years of experience in a mix of Consulting, Digital Strategy, Advisory, Technology, and/or managing programs for transformations for large-scale initiatives
- Experience leading post-merger initiatives spanning Business-Driven IT Strategy, Business Operations & Process Transformation, IT Cost Optimization, IT Organization Performance, IT Operating Models, Application Portfolio Rationalization, Global Sourcing Transformation and Merger/Divestiture Planning and Execution
- Previous experience leading or managing teams to successful client outcomes related to planning, structuring analytical work, facilitating team workshops, and developing IT strategy recommendations (e.g., IT capability improvements, key initiatives, roadmaps)
- Subject matter knowledge and working understanding of current digital trends such as cloud, robotics and process automation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, devops, agile.
- A track record of developing business cases to support strategic business initiatives, process improvement initiatives, and/or IT transformation
- Leadership skills that bring out the best in others; the ability to oversee multiple project managers who are working toward a common goal: the best possible outcome for a client
- High-impact presentation skill and the ability to develop detailed and compelling deliverables that convey complex thoughts and ideas to senior leadership
