The Role: Fulltime with Cognizant

• Role: Software Engineering Senior Advisor.
• Location: Morris Plains -NJ (Hybrid)

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Perform root cause analysis resolves production issues and support the existing production systems.
• Perform detailed issue analysis backtrack the problem and suggest a solution for the problem to the CoE team.
• Support release of work into production and perform on demand meetings with COE team and Business supporting issues encountered due to production changes.
• Suggest fixes to the complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact to the business due to the issue.
• Provide performance tuning at the functional level.
• Initiate extensive documentation for the production support process improvement.
• Answers escalated questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status and downtime procedures.
• Adopts, and implements Technical Support solutions for Transition & Steady State across departments with full competency.
• Acts as a highly competent advisor to their manager, leads and team.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 9 years of experience.
• This individual must be hands-on and strong in Java core.
• Should have Prod support knowledge and flexible to work in Prod support hours.
• Should have strong knowledge in spring boot.
• Should have strong knowledge in Database (Oracle or Mongo DB).
• Good to have knowledge in AWS/OpenShift Platform.
• Good to have React JS, Post Gres skills.
• Good to have Microservice knowledge.
• Ability to communicate well with customer/business teams.

Must have skill:

• Strong knowledge in Java 8.
• Strong knowledge in spring boot.
• Strong knowledge in Javascript Angular.
• Expertise in API & Log integrations & customization.
• Knowledge in Git and Jenkins.
• Knowledge in AWS/OpenShift.

Good to have:

• Knowledge in Spark.
• Knowledge in React JS.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $55,000.00 – $82,00.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
