Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience specializing in Visualworks Smalltalk. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of software solutions in a hybrid work model. Experience in Property & Casualty Insurance is a plus. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that benefit our clients and society.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Visualworks Smalltalk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Document software solutions and processes for future reference.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of software development projects.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Qualifications

  • Must have strong experience in Visualworks Smalltalk.
  • Should have a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Nice to have experience in Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
  • Must be proficient in software development methodologies and practices.
  • Should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid work model.
  • Should have strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Certifications Required

    Certified Smalltalk Developer Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
