Sr. Software Engineer

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Spring Boot and Core Java. Experience in the Retail Banking domain is a plus. This role is hybrid with day shifts and no travel required. The candidate will contribute to the development and maintenance of high-quality software solutions that drive our business forward.


Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Spring Boot and Core Java.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Help maintain code quality organization and automation.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
Work closely with product managers and designers to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality.
Document software solutions and processes for future reference.
Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Qualifications

Must have strong experience in Spring Boot and Core Java.
Nice to have experience in the Retail Banking domain.
Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Must have strong communication and collaboration skills.
Must have the ability to work in a hybrid work model.
Nice to have experience with Agile methodologies.
Must have a strong understanding of software development best practices.

Certifications Required

Oracle Certified Professional Java SE 11 Developer

Job Location: Atlanta,GA

The annual salary for this position is between $65 - 110k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
