The Role

Our Media Consulting group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our journey. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the upgrade of JD Edwards (JDE) in Mexico and Colombia, while consolidating other Hispano-America markets onto the platform. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring a smooth transition while aligning with business needs.

We’re looking for Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Consultant, this means creating high-quality client deliverables and taking ownership (with supervision) of producing client content and meeting client expectations; developing an expertise in your functional area, including obtaining certifications; contributing to Client Satisfaction and/or RFPs; supporting leadership and contributing to content development for service offerings; and participating in PeopleCare initiatives and exhibiting personal leadership at all times. Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Oversight: Lead and manage the JDE upgrade and consolidation programme, ensuring successful implementation
  • Testing & Validation: Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring system functionality and user readiness.
  • Training & Change Management: Develop and execute a training strategy to support user adoption and manage business change effectively.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Work cross-functionally with regional and global teams, ensuring alignment across different business units.
  • Communication & Engagement: Drive clear and effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders / end users informed and engaged.
  • Governance & Reporting: Deliver project control frameworks and governance decks, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, mitigate, and manage risks to ensure programme success within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Dependency Management: Identify, track, and manage critical dependencies between workstreams, ensuring seamless integration across teams and markets.
  • Vendor & Resource Management: Coordinate internal teams and external vendors, ensuring efficient project execution

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience managing large-scale ERP implementations, ideally JD Edwards or similar platforms.
  • Strong expertise in programme governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in leading SIT, UAT, training, and change management initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
  • Ability to work across multiple markets and align cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Tools: MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Smartsheets, Tableau
