Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator / Database Engineer to manage, support, and optimize enterprise databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, and Informix. The role involves database administration, performance tuning, high availability, security, and support for mission‑critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Database Administration
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Informix
- Manage database schemas, objects, storage, and capacity planning
- Perform database migration and version upgrades
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with:
- Oracle Database (RAC, ASM, Data Guard preferred)
- PostgreSQL (replication, vacuum, tuning)
- MySQL (InnoDB, replication, backup tools)
- MongoDB (replica sets, sharding)
- Informix (HDR, backup & recovery)
- Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments
- Knowledge of backup tools, monitoring tools, and automation
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Clear communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to support on-call or shift-based operations
