Job Summary
Execute and enhance industrial data historian and execution systems by designing configuring and optimizing AVEVA PI based solutions for global manufacturing and supply chain operations in a hybrid work model. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure reliable data acquisition contextualization and analytics that improve efficiency quality and business decision making.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust AVEVA PI based execution system solutions that reliably collect store and contextualize high volume time series data from diverse plant floor sources to support manufacturing insights and decision making.
- Configure and maintain AVEVA PI interfaces connectors and calculation workflows to ensure accurate data flow from control systems instruments and external applications into the historian environment with minimal downtime.
- Develop advanced PI asset models events and analytics to transform raw operational signals into meaningful metrics that improve visibility of production performance quality trends and equipment health.
- Optimize execution system architectures by reviewing data flows tag configurations and storage strategies to improve system responsiveness scalability and long term maintainability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders to capture requirements translate process needs into technical specifications and deliver AVEVA PI driven solutions that address real operational challenges.
- Build and refine operational dashboards and self service data views using PI tools so that business users can independently monitor key performance indicators and respond quickly to process deviations.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and root cause analysis for AVEVA PI incidents by examining logs data patterns and configurations then implementing durable corrective actions that strengthen overall system reliability.
- Implement governance practices for tag naming data quality validation and system documentation to maintain consistency and traceability across multiple plants and execution environments.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to align AVEVA PI components with enterprise standards for access control network segmentation and backup to protect critical operational data.
- Guide adoption of data driven practices in manufacturing and supply chain teams by explaining historian capabilities demonstrating use cases and promoting continuous improvement based on trusted data.
- Plan and execute system upgrades patches and migration activities for execution systems so that platforms remain supported secure and aligned with evolving business requirements.
- Estimate effort for enhancements prepare technical design documents and track progress so that execution system deliverables are completed on time and within defined quality expectations.
- Partner with external vendors and internal experts to evaluate new AVEVA PI features complementary tools and integration patterns that can expand the value of existing execution system investments.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong background in AVEVA PI Historian with hands on experience in configuration administration and solution development across at least one complex industrial environment.
- Bring eight to twelve years of overall experience in execution systems or related industrial software with a sustained focus on data historian technologies and operational data management.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain domains by understanding production workflows material movements and typical plant metrics that benefit from historian insights.
- Apply solid skills in data modeling time series analytics and performance optimization so that historian solutions remain efficient even as tag counts and data volumes grow.
- Use clear communication and documentation abilities to work effectively with process engineers planners and business analysts in a hybrid work setting spanning onsite and remote collaboration.
- Exhibit proficiency in problem solving and incident resolution for complex system interactions involving historians control systems middleware and enterprise applications.
- Show familiarity with integration approaches that connect AVEVA PI with reporting tools analytics platforms or manufacturing execution systems to create end to end digital workflows.
- Display comfort working within structured delivery frameworks and change management practices to ensure safe deployment of modifications in regulated or high criticality operations.
