Job Summary

This role is for a Test Analyst with one to two years of experience who will validate web services application interfaces and data accuracy using structured test approaches. The analyst will focus on API testing web services testing and SQL based validation in a networks domain context while working fully from home during day shifts with no travel requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Design functional and integration test scenarios for web services that validate business rules data flows and interaction paths in the networks domain context
  • Execute API test cases using appropriate tools to verify request and response behavior error handling and adherence to technical specifications
  • Create and maintain reusable test data sets using SQL queries to validate backend data consistency and alignment with application level outcomes
  • Analyze response payloads headers and status codes to confirm that services behave reliably under different input conditions and boundary values
  • Document clear defect reports with reproducible steps observed results and expected outcomes to help teams resolve issues efficiently
  • Collaborate with developers and network engineers to clarify service contracts data mappings and interface dependencies for planned changes
  • Review requirements and technical notes to identify testable conditions potential gaps and high risk areas that require deeper validation
  • Perform regression testing on updated web services and APIs to ensure that new changes do not negatively affect existing network functionalities
  • Validate data integrity in relational databases using SQL to ensure that transactions updates and retrievals reflect correct network related information
  • Monitor test execution progress and summarize daily status key findings and pending risks to stakeholders using concise written updates
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting optimizations in test coverage test case design and API monitoring practices
  • Apply basic network domain knowledge to design test cases that reflect realistic operational scenarios and common customer usage patterns
  • Adhere to secure coding and data handling expectations while working in a work from home setup by following all company guidelines on access and privacy


Qualifications

  • Complete a degree in engineering computer science or an equivalent discipline that builds strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Demonstrate hands on experience in web services testing and API testing using tools that support request crafting automation and response validation
  • Show practical proficiency in SQL including writing select join and filter queries to support data analysis and test design activities

  • Display familiarity with defect management and test management platforms that support planning execution tracking and traceability from requirements
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills that enable clear articulation of issues risks and technical findings to multidisciplinary teams
  • Adapt quickly to new tools frameworks and service architectures while maintaining disciplined testing practices in a remote work from home environment


Certifications Required

ISTQB Foundation or equivalent software testing certification and any recognized API testing certification such as Postman or similar
