Job Summary
Sr Test Analyst for a global technology organization responsible for designing and executing comprehensive manual test strategies across Azure based IoT solutions and DevOps enabled delivery pipelines. Role involves detailed validation of device to cloud integrations data integrity and system reliability while collaborating closely with product and engineering teams. Work model is hybrid with day shift and no travel requirement.
Responsibilities
- Design detailed manual test plans and test cases for complex Azure based IoT platforms ensuring thorough coverage of device connectivity data flows security and performance aspects.
- Execute end to end system integration and regression testing cycles focusing on reliable interaction between IoT devices edge components cloud services and downstream applications.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to align testing activities with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines ensuring high quality builds and seamless deployment readiness.
- Review functional and technical specifications for IoT features providing clear and constructive feedback that improves testability and overall solution quality.
- Analyze test results and production incidents to identify root causes patterns and potential risks then propose targeted corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation including test scenarios data sets execution records and defect reports to support traceability and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate defect triage activities with engineering and product stakeholders ensuring accurate prioritization timely resolution and transparent communication of quality status.
- Optimize manual testing approaches by identifying opportunities for test reuse risk based prioritization and alignment with evolving product roadmaps.
- Partner with cross functional teams to validate data integrity reliability and usability of IoT generated data particularly for analytics and downstream business processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality practices by sharing insights from test cycles and recommending enhancements to standards guidelines and workflows.
- Support hybrid working practices through effective use of collaboration tools and structured reporting to keep distributed teams informed on test progress and outcomes.
- Apply structured test design to any bioinformatics related features when present ensuring that scientific data handling workflows and results presentation are validated thoroughly.
- Advocate for end user quality expectations by highlighting potential usability reliability and performance concerns that could impact customer trust and societal benefit.
Qualifications
- Combine eight to ten years of hands on software testing experience with strong capability in designing and executing manual test suites for complex enterprise applications.
- Apply practical DevOps experience to integrate testing into automated build and release processes ensuring that quality gates are consistently enforced across environments.
- Demonstrate deep familiarity with Azure based IoT services including device provisioning messaging monitoring and diagnostics to validate end to end solution behavior.
- Use analytical thinking and structured problem solving skills to investigate defects interpret logs and collaborate with engineers on effective remediation strategies.
- Bring working knowledge of hybrid delivery models and agile methodologies enabling effective participation in ceremonies planning discussions and backlog refinement.
- Leverage any exposure to bioinformatics domains to understand data intensive workflows regulatory expectations and accuracy requirements that influence testing focus.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders using concise status updates risk descriptions and quality insights that support informed decision making and responsible innovation.
Certifications Required
Recommended certifications include Azure IoT Developer or Azure DevOps Engineer along with any recognized software testing certification such as ISTQB Advanced.
