Job summary
Contribute as a technology specialist designing and developing secure and scalable enterprise applications using Java Springboot Advanced Java Spring Security Kafka and cloud native services on AWS in a hybrid work model. Apply strong engineering practices collaborate with cross functional teams and ensure reliable delivery of high quality solutions for global clients.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust backend services using Java Springboot and Advanced Java to deliver high performing and maintainable business applications that meet client requirements and organizational quality standards.
- Develop and optimize Spring Security configurations to enforce strong authentication and authorization controls that protect sensitive data and comply with enterprise security and regulatory expectations.
- Build and maintain event driven integrations using Kafka by designing efficient topics consumers and producers that ensure reliable data streaming and low latency communication between distributed systems.
- Utilize AWS services such as compute storage messaging and security components to create cloud native architectures that improve scalability resilience and operational efficiency for business critical platforms.
- Collaborate with product owners architects testers and other engineers in a hybrid work setup to refine requirements clarify technical impacts and deliver features incrementally through agile ceremonies and sprint execution.
- Create unit tests integration tests and component level validation using industry standard testing frameworks to maintain high code coverage prevent regressions and support continuous integration pipelines.
- Perform code reviews and refactoring activities to uphold coding standards remove technical debt and improve readability performance and long term maintainability of shared services and libraries.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues by analyzing logs metrics and traces from Kafka Spring applications and AWS monitoring tools to identify root causes and implement permanent fixes that reduce incident recurrence.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation that describes service contracts security flows deployment steps and operational runbooks to support knowledge sharing and smooth onboarding of new team members.
- Coordinate with DevOps and platform teams to package and deploy microservices on AWS based environments while optimizing configurations for observability resilience and cost effectiveness.
- Engage in continuous improvement by evaluating new features in Spring Kafka and AWS ecosystems and proposing enhancements that can simplify architecture improve performance or enhance developer productivity.
- Ensure nonfunctional requirements such as performance security reliability and scalability are addressed through load testing security assessment inputs and proactive capacity planning in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to peers on best practices in secure coding event driven design and cloud usage helping the team make informed decisions that align with organizational technology standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate six to ten years of hands on experience in Java development with strong command of Advanced Java concepts such as collections concurrency memory management and design patterns applied in real projects.
- Exhibit deep practical expertise in Springboot including building RESTful APIs handling configuration management and integrating with databases and external services in complex enterprise environments.
- Show proven experience configuring and hardening Spring Security to implement role based access control token based authentication and secure session management for web and service applications.
- Display solid working knowledge of Kafka including designing topics configuring partitions managing consumer groups and tuning producers and consumers for reliability and throughput.
- Demonstrate applied experience with AWS cloud services covering deployment of Java microservices use of managed databases messaging and security services to deliver resilient and cost conscious solutions.
- Apply strong understanding of microservices principles API design integration patterns and error handling techniques that enable modular and loosely coupled architectures.
- Use effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model manage expectations and document decisions in a clear and structured manner.
- Exhibit familiarity with agile delivery practices version control workflows and continuous integration setups that support frequent and reliable releases without impacting service stability.
Certifications Required
AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent cloud certification is preferred.
