Job Summary
Drive high impact SAP solutions as a Technology Architect with deep expertise in core ABAP object oriented programming ABAP web services BRF based business rules and WebDynpro technologies for Java and ABAP applying architecture best practices to deliver scalable hybrid model enterprise applications that enhance operational efficiency and create lasting value for customers and society through reliable day shift engagements and minimal travel commitments.
Responsibilities
· Architect robust SAP solutions using core ABAP object oriented programming to address complex business scenarios and ensure systems are scalable maintainable and optimized for performance in hybrid work model environments.
· Design and implement ABAP web services that enable secure and efficient integration between heterogeneous enterprise applications promoting seamless data exchange and reliable end to end business process execution.
· Configure and optimize Business Rules Framework components to externalize critical decision logic improving system flexibility lowering maintenance efforts and enabling faster adaptation to evolving business policies.
· Develop and fine tune WebDynpro for ABAP user interfaces that are intuitive responsive and aligned with modern usability standards thereby improving user productivity and reducing operational errors across daily workflows.
· Create and maintain WebDynpro for Java components to support complex presentation and interaction requirements ensuring consistent user experience across multiple SAP front end channels and application modules.
· Enhance and refactor legacy core ABAP programs to align with contemporary architecture patterns improving code quality readability and performance while reducing technical debt in mission critical systems.
· Collaborate closely with functional analysts and business stakeholders to translate detailed requirements into viable technical architectures ensuring that every solution directly supports organizational goals and measurable outcomes.
· Conduct comprehensive code reviews and architecture assessments to identify structural issues performance bottlenecks and security gaps then implement corrective actions that elevate overall solution reliability and resilience.
· Provide guidance on hybrid deployment strategies across on premises and cloud environments ensuring SAP solutions are designed for secure connectivity efficient resource use and consistent performance in day shift operations.
· Coordinate with cross functional implementation teams to plan releases validate integration points and oversee end to end solution testing ensuring that each deployment proceeds smoothly and minimizes business disruption.
· Document architecture decisions interface contracts and technical patterns in a clear and structured manner providing reference materials that support long term maintainability and efficient onboarding of new team members.
· Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and complementary tools relevant to core ABAP and WebDynpro stacks recommending pragmatic adoption paths that strengthen the company technology landscape and customer value proposition.
· Contribute architectural expertise to initiatives that leverage data and computational models to support domains such as structural biology and modelling helping transform scientific insights into robust enterprise grade applications that advance societal progress.
Qualifications
· Bring extensive experience in core ABAP object oriented programming demonstrating proficiency in modular design reusable components and strong debugging skills across complex business applications.
· Possess hands on mastery of ABAP web services and related integration protocols enabling secure and reliable connectivity with internal and external systems for transactional and analytical workflows.
· Demonstrate in depth knowledge of Business Rules Framework configuration and rule modelling with the ability to design maintainable rule sets that support dynamic business decision processes.
· Show practical experience in building and maintaining WebDynpro for ABAP and WebDynpro for Java solutions including layout design event handling and backend integration with diverse data sources.
· Exhibit strong command of performance tuning techniques in ABAP environments including efficient database access optimized loops and resource conscious design that improves responsiveness for end users.
· Utilize solid understanding of general SAP architecture and application lifecycle processes ensuring solutions adhere to enterprise standards compliance requirements and high quality delivery practices.
· Apply analytical and problem solving abilities to diagnose complex technical issues across the SAP stack propose viable remediation options and drive resolutions that sustain stable production operations.
