Over de functie
Als Senior Consultant Financieel-Economische Criminaliteit werk je aan advies- en verandertrajecten bij financiële instellingen. Je neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor afgebakende analyses en concrete opleveringen, vertaalt bedrijfsbehoeften naar werkbare eisen voor processen, data en technologie en bouwt aan duurzame klantrelaties. Je maakt deel uit van ons Banking & Financial Services Consulting-team.
Wat ga je doen?
• Je leidt afgebakende analyse- en opleveractiviteiten, zoals verkenningen, analyses van de huidige situatie, ontwerp van doelprocessen, het opstellen van requirements, testondersteuning en voorbereiding op implementatie.
• Je stemt af met stakeholders, faciliteert workshops en levert heldere, uitvoerbare adviezen en resultaten op. Daarbij adviseer je klanten over onder meer CDD, KYC/KYB, AML, transactiemonitoring, sancties, fraude en onderzoeken.
• Je beoordeelt en verbetert processen voor risicobeoordeling, onboarding, periodieke reviews, screening, monitoring, alerttriage, onderzoek en herstel. Je vertaalt doelstellingen naar requirements voor onder andere KYC, screening, monitoring, fraude, casemanagement, grafenanalyse en AI.
• Je definieert data- en beheersvereisten voor klant-, eigendoms-, identiteits-, transactie-, screening-, alert-, dossier- en netwerkgegevens.
• Je past relevante Nederlandse en Europese wet- en regelgeving toe, waaronder de Wwft, sanctieregelgeving, risicogebaseerde beheersmaatregelen en privacywetgeving. Daarnaast draag je bij aan voorstellen, klantpresentaties, herbruikbare methoden en publicaties.
Werkmodel
We bieden waar mogelijk flexibiliteit. Voor deze functie werk je hybride: gemiddeld twee tot drie dagen per week bij een klant of op ons kantoor in Amsterdam. De overige dagen kun je, afhankelijk van het project, op afstand werken. Met onze welzijnsprogramma’s ondersteunen we een gezonde balans tussen werk en privé.
Deze werkafspraken gelden op het moment van publicatie en kunnen veranderen door de aard van een project of de behoeften van de klant en onze organisatie. We bespreken de verwachtingen altijd vooraf en helder met je.
Wat breng je mee?
• Ruime relevante ervaring met financieel-economische criminaliteit, de bancaire sector, consulting binnen de financiële dienstverlening, businessanalyse of het realiseren van transformaties.
• Ervaring met end-to-end businessanalyse in een IT-omgeving en het vermogen om technologieonafhankelijk naar capabilities, architectuurimpact, integraties, beheersmaatregelen en niet-functionele eisen te kijken.
• Kennis van CDD, KYC/KYB, AML, transactiemonitoring, sancties, fraude, anti-omkoping en -corruptie, fiscale integriteit en onderzoeksprocessen. Je begrijpt hoe processen rond risicobeoordeling, onboarding, periodieke reviews, screening, alerttriage, dossieronderzoek, escalatie, rapportage, herstel en kwaliteitsborging samenhangen.
• Sterke advies-, analyse-, workshop-, presentatie- en stakeholdermanagement-vaardigheden, en het vermogen om bedrijfsprocessen te vertalen naar datavereisten.
• Mondelinge en schriftelijke beheersing van het Engels en een relevante bachelor- of masteropleiding, of gelijkwaardige werkervaring.
Daarnaast is het een pré als je
• Requirements kunt opstellen voor oplossingen op het gebied van KYC, screening, transactiemonitoring, fraude, casemanagement, grafenanalyse, workflow, data, AI en automatisering, en relevante data kunt analyseren binnen de Nederlandse Wwft-context;
• Bekend bent met technologielandschappen in de financiële sector, waaronder platforms, workflow, cloud, data, analytics, automatisering en digitale kanalen;
• Kennis hebt van toezicht en relevante Europese regelgeving;
• Draagvlak weet te creëren in een consensusgerichte omgeving en graag samenwerkt in internationale teams. Reizen kan onderdeel zijn van de functie;
• Klantgericht, analytisch en resultaatgericht werkt, met aandacht voor verantwoorde innovatie, het klantbelang, kwaliteit en de verdere ontwikkeling van onze advies afdeling.

About the role
As a Senior Consultant, Financial Economic Crime, you will make an impact by supporting and leading defined analysis and delivery activities within financial economic crime consulting engagements, translating business needs into practical process, data and technology requirements while building trusted client relationships. You will be a valued member of the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) Consulting team and work collaboratively with our ecosystem of clients, alliances, start-ups and design agencies, and clients.
In this role, you will
• Own defined analysis and delivery activities, including plans, dependencies, risks, quality and the timely completion of outputs, conducting discovery, current-state assessment, target-process design, requirements definition, testing support and implementation-readiness activities.
• Coordinate stakeholders, facilitate workshops and produce clear, implementation-ready deliverables, advising clients across CDD, KYC/KYB, AML, monitoring, sanctions, fraud and investigations.
• Assess and improve processes covering risk assessment, onboarding, review, screening, monitoring, alert triage, investigation and remediation, and translate objectives into process, data, control and technology requirements across KYC, screening, monitoring, fraud, case management, graph analytics and AI.
• Define data requirements and controls covering customer, ownership, identity, transaction, screening, alert, case and network data.
• Apply Netherlands and EU context, including Dutch Wwft and sanctions context, risk-based controls and privacy, and contribute to proposals, client presentations, reusable assets and thought leadership.
Work model

What you must have to be considered
• Strong relevant experience in financial economic crime, banking or financial-services consulting, IT business analysis or transformation delivery, with demonstrated ownership of complex analysis, deliverables and stakeholder coordination.
• End-to-end IT business analysis skills covering problem framing, elicitation, process modelling, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, testing and business readiness, with a technology-agnostic ability to assess capabilities, architecture implications, integrations, controls and non-functional requirements.
• Knowledge of CDD, KYC/KYB, AML, transaction monitoring, sanctions, fraud, anti-bribery and corruption, tax integrity and investigation processes, together with an understanding of risk assessment, onboarding, periodic review, screening, monitoring, alert triage, case investigation, escalation, reporting, remediation and quality assurance.
• Strong consulting, structured problem-solving, workshop facilitation, storytelling and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to connect business processes with data ownership, quality, lineage, privacy, reporting and migration requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory, together with a bachelor or master degree in business, finance, economics, technology or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
These will help you succeed
• Ability to define requirements for KYC, screening, transaction-monitoring, fraud, case-management, graph-analytics, workflow, data, AI and automation solutions, and experience analysing customer, beneficial-ownership, identity, transaction, payment, counterparty, screening, alert, case, network and external-intelligence data with awareness of the Dutch Wwft context.
• Understanding of BFS technology landscapes, including core platforms, workflow, cloud, data, analytics, automation and digital channels.
• Dutch language capability and experience with Dutch or Benelux financial-services organisations, including knowledge of the Dutch supervisory landscape and relevant EU regulation for the subdomain.
• Ability to build alignment in a Dutch consensus-oriented environment through fact-based recommendations and pragmatic delivery, with comfort working in hybrid international teams travelling to client locations in the Netherlands and Benelux.
• A client-focused, analytical and outcome-oriented approach that simplifies complexity, challenges constructively and is committed to responsible innovation, customer interests, high-quality delivery and developing the practice through coaching, accelerators, case studies and thought leadership.
