Full Stack Lead (React /.NET)
Location: Long Beach, California (Remote allowed)
About the role
As a Full Stack Lead, you will make an impact by leading technical delivery, application modernization, and release management efforts across multiple business-critical healthcare applications. You will be a valued member of the engineering team, working closely with client stakeholders, development teams, product owners, and release management teams to drive high-quality software delivery and continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:
- Provide technical leadership and delivery oversight for a cross-functional Agile pod supporting multiple enterprise applications.
- Lead the management and prioritization of application backlog, technical debt remediation, and platform enhancements.
- Coordinate application releases and deployments, partnering with release management teams to ensure successful production implementations.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between Cognizant and client engineering teams, driving collaboration and issue resolution.
- Guide development activities across front-end and back-end technologies, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices.
- Oversee code quality, security compliance, and vulnerability remediation initiatives.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Mentor team members and promote Agile delivery practices, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

What you need to have to be considered
- Strong experience developing and supporting full-stack applications using ReactJS and.NET Core microservices.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline implementation, release management, and deployment automation.
- Experience managing and remediating security vulnerabilities identified through SAST and DAST tools such as SonarQube, Nexus IQ, and Checkmarx.
- Proven experience leading Agile software development teams and delivering complex enterprise applications.
- Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and business teams.
- Experience driving technical debt reduction, application modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.

- Experience supporting healthcare, payer, or health insurance organizations.
- Knowledge of cloud-native application design and Azure services.
- Experience overseeing large-scale release and environment management activities.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and automated quality assurance frameworks.
- Experience mentoring developers and leading distributed engineering teams.

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $ 75,000 to $ 135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
