In this role you will

  • Support Agile or hybrid delivery models by ensuring data mapping and metadata artifacts are delivery‑ready.
  • Validate implemented mapping through data reconciliation, profiling, and UAT support.
  • Identify data quality issues, lineage gaps, and control weaknesses, and drive remediation efforts.
  • Ensure documentation meets internal governance and audit standards.
  • Business Development: Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and client presentations related to data governance, BCBS 239, and regulatory data programs.
  • Engagement Leadership: Support planning and execution of data governance and metadata initiatives for clients.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a small team of metadata and data mapping analysts, including:
    • Task planning and prioritization
    • Quality reviews of deliverables
    • Onshore/offshore coordination
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement across data management initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  1. 7+ years of business analysis experience
  1. Deep understanding of wealth portfolio management processes and operations workflows
  1. Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for user stories, epics, and requirements documentation
  1. Microservices API based architecture understanding
  1. Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies
  1. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  1. Proven experience in functional QA/UAT support testing for financial systems, including component, integration, and end-to-end testing
  1. Results-oriented with ability to handle complex project delivery
  1. Knowledge of Wealth management client structures and reporting – UMA, SMA, Sleeves, etc
  1. Knowledge of WM products - equity, fixed income, Mutual Funds, REITs, etc

Work Model

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a position requires 3-4 days a week in a client office (Toronto, Canada). Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs.

Compensation

  • CAD 109,000 - 128,000
  • This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans
