About the role
As a Mortgage Consultant – Capital Markets/Secondary Market Transformation, you will make an impact by leading current‑state IT ecosystem assessments across US mortgage servicing, origination, and capital markets. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant Consulting Mortgage & Lending team and work collaboratively with client stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to document enterprise Capital Markets. Level applications, integrations, process flows, capability models, and architecture views.
In this role, you will:
Conduct current‑state IT ecosystem assessments across mortgage servicing, origination and capital markets
Comprehensively document application business rules, integrations, process flows, capability models, and architecture views within enterprise documentation repositories
Gather and translate business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops
Write high‑quality User Stories and support Agile/Scrum delivery teams with clear, actionable requirements
Create detailed process maps inclusive of up/downstream integration process to support current‑state analysis

What you must have to be considered
6–10 years of Business Analyst experience with deep US mortgage domain expertise
Strong knowledge of mortgage Servicing (loan boarding, escrow, investor accounting)
Strong knowledge of mortgage Origination (underwriting, closing, post‑close)
Strong knowledge of Capital Markets functions (secondary market, securitization, hedging)
Proficiency in User Story writing and requirements gathering
Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Proven process mapping skills
These will help you succeed
Experience documenting enterprise‑level IT ecosystems and architectures
Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, product teams, and technical stakeholders
Strong analytical skills to assess current‑state processes and systems
Experience working in large‑scale mortgage transformation or modernization programs
