About the role
As a Field Services Engineer, you will make an impact by providing reliable onsite and remote technical support that keeps hardware, software, and network systems running smoothly across the organization. You will own incident resolution, infrastructure maintenance, and hands-on support that directly impacts uptime and user productivity. This is a customer-facing technical role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality support. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and security team, working collaboratively with remote support teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
In this role, you will
• Provide onsite and remote support for hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network devices
• Diagnose and resolve incidents within defined SLAs, escalating when required
• Perform break/fix, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change), and preventive maintenance activities
• Coordinate with remote support teams and vendors for complex issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and customer policies while working onsite
• Document incidents, resolutions, and asset updates accurately in ticketing systems
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in White Plains, NY.

What you need to have to be considered
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues
• Hands-on experience with desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripheral devices
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, basic networking (LAN/WAN), and ITSM tools
• Ability to perform IMAC, break/fix, and onsite support activities independently
• Good communication and customer handling skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet SLA commitments
• Awareness of security, safety, and compliance standards

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until May 20, 2026
The annual salary for this position is between $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
