Senior Full Stack Engineer (Node JS /Angular)
About the role
As a Senior FSE Engineer, you will make an impact by designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performing full stack solutions that support enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders including product, architecture, and delivery teams to deliver innovative, user-focused solutions.

In this role, you will:
Design and develop scalable microservices and REST APIs to support core PLM workflows, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability
Build and enhance modern front-end applications using Angular, React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS to deliver responsive and intuitive user experiences
Develop event-driven integrations using Kafka, enabling real-time data streaming and synchronization across distributed systems
Create secure and robust backend services using Node.js, including data validation, error handling, and logging in line with enterprise standards
Contribute to engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

What you need to have to be considered
6–10 years of experience in full stack development for enterprise applications
Strong expertise in Node.js and microservices architecture, including building secure REST APIs
Hands-on experience with Angular (v9–v12+) and TypeScript for complex front-end development
Experience developing React-based component-driven user interfaces
Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
Working knowledge of Kafka for event-driven architecture and data streaming
Experience supporting Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes such as product structures, change management, or release workflows
Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve issues across the full technology stack
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
These will help you stand out
Experience modernizing legacy systems and improving application performance and scalability
Exposure to cloud-native development and containerized environments
Knowledge of accessibility standards and front-end performance optimization techniques
Experience working in Agile environments with distributed or hybrid teams
Certifications such as Kubernetes (CKAD) or Kafka/cloud platform certifications

The annual salary for this position is between $74,000 - $128,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
