Job Summary
The Technical Lead role focuses on designing and implementing secure and privacy centric solutions using data privacy foundations and Rest API integrations with OneTrust in a hybrid work model. The role requires seven to ten years of experience in technology delivery within industry essentials domains ensuring compliant data handling and sustainable digital products across day shifts without travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement privacy aware technical solutions that leverage data privacy foundations and Rest API integrations with OneTrust to protect sensitive information across enterprise systems
- Oversee end to end technical delivery for privacy centric applications ensuring that architecture design development testing and deployment work together to meet regulatory and internal compliance expectations
- Coordinate with cross functional teams to translate complex privacy and consent management requirements into scalable system designs that align with enterprise standards and industry essentials practices
- Develop reusable Rest API patterns and integration components that enable consistent data classification consent capture and preference management through OneTrust across multiple products and platforms
- Review technical designs and code to ensure that data flows logging and encryption approaches adhere to privacy by design principles and minimize risk of unauthorized data access or misuse
- Guide teams in implementing robust error handling monitoring and alerting around privacy related services to ensure timely detection and remediation of issues that may impact customer trust and regulatory compliance
- Optimize service performance and reliability for privacy components by refining Rest API designs improving data models and tuning configurations to support growing volumes of user and consent data
- Collaborate with product owners and privacy specialists to define technical acceptance criteria that embed privacy controls into core workflows ensuring that features are both user centric and compliant with industry essentials regulations
- Document solution designs data flows and integration patterns in clear technical artifacts that can be understood and maintained by engineering operations and risk teams across the organization
- Provide technical guidance to engineering peers on best practices for secure coding input validation and token based access patterns that support robust privacy enforcement across internal and external services
- Align technical decisions with the organizations purpose of building trustworthy digital experiences that respect customer privacy and create long term societal value through responsible data practices
- Participate in incident reviews and root cause analysis activities related to privacy services and use these insights to drive continuous improvement in both design and operational practices
- Engage in regular knowledge sharing sessions to help teams stay current on emerging privacy technologies industry essentials trends and evolving best practices for OneTrust and Rest API based integrations
Qualifications
- Require seven to ten years of hands on experience in designing and delivering enterprise applications with at least three years focused on privacy centric or security sensitive systems
- Require strong working experience with data privacy foundation concepts including consent lifecycle data minimization retention strategies and privacy impact considerations in technology design
- Require proven expertise in building and consuming Rest APIs including experience with authentication frameworks request validation and performance optimization for high traffic services
- Require practical implementation experience with OneTrust modules such as consent management preference centers and data subject request workflows in complex organizational environments
- Require exposure to industry essentials domains demonstrating the ability to apply privacy and security controls in real world business processes and regulatory contexts
- Nice to have experience in hybrid work environments including effective use of collaboration tools and structured communication practices to coordinate with distributed teams
- Nice to have experience in integrating privacy platforms with identity providers marketing systems or analytics tools to create unified consent and preference management experiences
- Nice to have background in automating privacy checks within continuous integration pipelines or quality frameworks to ensure consistent enforcement of privacy controls throughout the development lifecycle
Certifications Required
Certified OneTrust Professional or equivalent privacy technology certification preferred along with a general data protection or privacy certification such as CIPP or CIPM
