Procurement Analyst – Data Analytics
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement and spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to track procurement KPIs.
- Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and sourcing effectiveness.
- Perform spend analysis, category analysis, and supplier benchmarking.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives through data-driven insights.
- Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business stakeholders.
- Validate and maintain procurement master data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Generate forecasts and trend analysis for purchasing activities.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Purchasing.
- Strong Data Analytics experience.
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query).
- SQL for data extraction and analysis.
- Power BI/Tableau dashboard development.
- Experience with procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, or similar.
- Knowledge of supplier management and procurement lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Predictive analytics and procurement forecasting.
- Experience with data cleansing and master data management.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven procurement analytics solutions.
- Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or SAP Procurement.

The annual salary for this position is between $50,000 - $70,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
