Job Summary
Sr Test Analyst role for a hybrid work model in a global organization focusing on automation desk solutions scripting in Python Bash CAPL and custom test framework development within automotive verification and validation projects. The role involves designing robust automated test suites executing day shift test activities collaborating with cross functional teams and supporting occasional travel to customer or site locations for integration and system validation efforts.
Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive automated test strategies that align with automotive verification and validation standards ensuring robust coverage of functional integration and regression scenarios while meeting project timelines and quality goals.
- Develop maintain and enhance automation desk workflows to streamline test case execution result collection and reporting thereby improving efficiency and consistency across multiple automotive projects.
- Implement sophisticated test frameworks using Python Bash and CAPL scripting to enable modular reusable and scalable test components that support complex automotive system validation.
- Execute automated and selective manual test campaigns in day shift to validate system behavior against requirements recording precise observations and ensuring defects are documented and traced through resolution.
- Analyze test results to identify root causes of failures collaborate with design and development teams to refine requirements and implementation details and recommend targeted fixes that improve product reliability.
- Optimize existing test scripts and automation pipelines to reduce execution time minimize flakiness and enhance maintainability contributing directly to faster release cycles and higher product stability.
- Coordinate hybrid work activities by effectively using remote collaboration tools and on site interactions ensuring seamless communication with global stakeholders and project teams for test planning and status reporting.
- Support on site verification and validation activities through occasional travel participating in system integration tests hardware in the loop setups and field validation sessions to confirm real world performance.
- Prepare clear test documentation including test plans test cases execution logs and defect summaries that comply with organizational automotive quality processes and are easily understood by cross functional partners.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing enhancements to test frameworks test data management and automation desk processes that strengthen overall verification and validation capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product owners business analysts and system engineers to refine acceptance criteria and ensure test coverage directly supports end user safety comfort and regulatory compliance in automotive applications.
- Mentor junior test analysts on scripting practices automation desk usage and automotive verification concepts fostering a culture of quality awareness and systematic testing throughout the project team.
- Align daily testing activities with company objectives of delivering safe reliable and efficient automotive solutions demonstrating how thorough verification and validation supports customer trust and positive societal impact.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong background in automation desk usage with hands on experience configuring test benches managing test assets and integrating automation tools into automotive verification workflows.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Python Bash and CAPL scripting through practical experience building data driven test scripts custom utilities and interface modules that support complex automotive testing.
- Hold proven experience in designing and implementing test framework architectures that emphasize reusability modularity and scalability ideally within automotive or embedded systems environments.
- Show solid understanding of automotive verification and validation methodologies including requirement based testing system integration testing and regression strategies focusing on safety and reliability.
- Apply practical knowledge of software quality principles defect lifecycle management and configuration control to ensure every test artifact contributes to traceable and auditable automotive quality records.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret logs traces and diagnostic outputs from automotive systems transforming these observations into actionable insights for engineering teams.

Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level or equivalent software testing certification related to automation and verification in automotive domain.
