Job Summary
Design and optimize scalable cloud solutions as a senior cloud architect with extensive experience in AWS DevOps practices and Well Architected Framework adoption ensuring secure resilient and cost effective platforms for enterprise applications in a hybrid work model while collaborating across global teams and supporting occasional business travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end design of cloud architectures on AWS that align to Well Architected Framework principles and enterprise standards to ensure secure resilient scalable and cost optimized platforms for diverse business applications.
- Drive implementation of AWS DevOps practices by defining deployment strategies automation patterns and reusable templates that accelerate delivery while maintaining reliability and compliance with organizational policies.
- Oversee creation and maintenance of infrastructure as code patterns by collaborating with engineering teams to standardize provisioning workflows and reduce manual configuration effort across environments.
- Guide design and configuration of AWS CodePipeline based continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows that enable consistent build test and deployment steps for multiple application portfolios.
- Enable robust deployment strategies using AWS CodeDeploy by defining blue green or rolling deployment models that minimize downtime and support safe progressive rollouts for critical services.
- Manage secure and efficient source control practices with AWS CodeCommit by establishing branching standards access controls and integration patterns that support collaborative development at scale.
- Coordinate reliable and repeatable build processes with AWS CodeBuild by defining build specifications artifact strategies and automated quality gates that improve code quality and reduce release risk.
- Collaborate closely with product engineering security and operations stakeholders in a hybrid work model to translate business requirements into actionable cloud solutions that deliver measurable value to customers and communities.
- Provide architectural governance and technical review for new and existing workloads by conducting design assessments Well Architected reviews and remediation plans that strengthen reliability security and performance.
- Support migration and modernization initiatives by assessing legacy systems planning cloud landing zones and guiding adoption of cloud native patterns that improve agility and reduce total cost of ownership over time.
- Facilitate day shift coordination and occasional business travel to customer or partner locations to conduct workshops deep dive sessions and alignment meetings that improve stakeholder understanding and trust.
- Champion operational excellence by defining monitoring logging backup and incident response strategies that help teams manage production workloads effectively and maintain high service availability.
- Document architectural decisions patterns and best practices in clear reference materials that help engineering teams implement solutions consistently and enable knowledge sharing across the organization.
Qualifications
- Possess twelve to sixteen years of overall technology experience including substantial time designing and delivering complex cloud solutions as a senior architect or equivalent technical role.
- Demonstrate strong hands on expertise with AWS DevOps capabilities including pipelines automation testing integration and release processes applied to large scale enterprise environments.
- Show deep working knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework across operational security reliability performance and cost pillars with practical experience conducting reviews and remediation initiatives.
- Bring advanced experience configuring and optimizing AWS CodePipeline CodeDeploy CodeCommit and CodeBuild to create integrated continuous delivery ecosystems that support multiple teams and applications.
- Hold a proven track record working in hybrid work models coordinating with distributed teams across time zones while maintaining effective communication and collaboration practices.
- Exhibit strong skills in cloud security performance optimization and cost management ensuring that architectural designs respect regulatory requirements and organizational budget constraints.
- Display excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate trade offs propose alternatives and guide stakeholders toward sustainable cloud solution decisions.
Certifications Required
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional preferred.
