Pega Business Analyst
About the role
As a Pega Business Analyst, you will make an impact by bridging business needs and technology solutions to deliver meaningful outcomes for clients and stakeholders. You will be a valued member of the delivery team and work collaboratively with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and project leadership to define requirements, improve business processes, and support successful Agile delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements to ensure alignment with business objectives and project goals.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle and ensure alignment between business needs and delivered solutions.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discussions to clarify scope, assumptions, dependencies, and priorities.
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and operational improvement.
- Support Agile delivery teams by creating and maintaining product backlog items and refining user stories.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives while providing requirements clarification during development activities.
- Partner with Product Owners to support prioritization decisions and backlog management.
- Review and validate developed functionality to ensure solutions meet documented requirements and business expectations.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and business validation activities to ensure successful solution delivery.

What you need to have to be considered
- Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Strong expertise in requirements elicitation techniques, business process analysis, and solution documentation.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and functional specifications.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
- Experience supporting testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and business validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced delivery environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
These will help you stand out
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Knowledge or experience supporting Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) programs.
- Experience with process improvement, workflow optimization, and business transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with requirements management and Agile project management tools.
- Experience working with distributed or global delivery teams.
- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or similar business analysis certifications.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $110,000- $129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
