Job Summary
Sr Product Architect ISG will design and govern complex enterprise solutions using Guidewire BillingCenter and PolicyCenter for a multinational environment. The role focuses on scalable product architecture alignment with business outcomes and robust integration patterns while working in a hybrid model. The architect will guide teams in delivering resilient cloud ready platforms that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and define end to end product architecture for Guidewire BillingCenter and PolicyCenter solutions that align with enterprise standards and long term platform strategy
- Translate complex insurance business requirements into configurable product features within BillingCenter and PolicyCenter ensuring clarity for implementation teams and stakeholders
- Collaborate with product managers to shape a technology roadmap that balances functional priorities scalability performance and operational resilience for core insurance platforms
- Create detailed solution design specifications including integration patterns data models and configuration guidelines to enable consistent and predictable delivery outcomes
- Review and validate technical designs produced by engineering teams to ensure conformance with reference architectures and Guidewire best practices
- Oversee non functional architecture including performance security availability and observability to ensure robust and compliant production operations
- Provide architectural guidance on integration of BillingCenter and PolicyCenter with upstream and downstream systems such as payment gateways rating engines and document services
- Drive reuse of shared components accelerators and frameworks so that teams can deliver new features faster while maintaining architectural consistency across programs
- Mentor and support developers configuration specialists and test engineers by explaining design decisions and coaching on Guidewire configuration patterns and coding standards
- Conduct impact assessments for major change requests and releases to identify technical risks dependencies and mitigation actions before implementation
- Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to define deployment topologies capacity plans and environment strategies for hybrid working models and day shift operations
- Define and refine coding standards configuration guidelines and review practices that improve overall code quality and reduce production incidents
- Engage with business and operations teams to continuously improve platform capabilities so that customer journeys become simpler faster and more reliable
Qualifications
- Possess fifteen to eighteen years of overall technology experience with significant exposure to large scale enterprise applications and product architecture in complex organizations
- Hold extensive hands on experience implementing and architecting Guidewire BillingCenter including configuration integration and tuning for high volume transaction processing
- Demonstrate strong practical experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter across policy lifecycle functions endorsements renewals and integration with external rating and underwriting systems
- Exhibit advanced skills in designing integration solutions using web services messaging middleware or equivalent patterns to connect Guidewire applications with enterprise ecosystems
- Show proven expertise in defining data models migration strategies and reporting solutions that support regulatory reporting finance operations and business analytics needs
- Display solid understanding of secure coding principles identity and access concepts and compliance expectations within financial or insurance domain platforms
- Communicate fluently in English in both written and spoken forms to collaborate with global stakeholders and document architectural decisions and technical specifications
- Apply strong problem solving skills and structured analysis approaches to address production incidents root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives in a systematic way
- Adapt successfully to hybrid work arrangements by coordinating effectively with distributed teams and managing work using collaboration and agile delivery tools

Certifications Required
Guidewire Certified BillingCenter Architect or Guidewire Certified PolicyCenter Architect or equivalent advanced Guidewire certification

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
