LCM Project Manager (Lifecycle Management))

Location: Wayzata, MN (onsite)

• Lead global and regional IT asset lifecycle programmes, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and successful delivery of hardware refresh initiatives.
• Manage stakeholder engagement by collaborating with business leaders, IT teams, vendors, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely issue resolution.
• Drive asset lifecycle governance by establishing standards for procurement, deployment, refresh, redeployment, and disposal while ensuring compliance with security and asset management policies.
• Oversee vendor and financial management activities, including budget tracking, forecasting, cost optimization, supplier coordination, and vendor performance reviews.
• Develop executive dashboards and performance reports, identify automation and process improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and lifecycle maturity.

Required skills

• Product Lifecycle Management: Ability to manage the complete lifecycle of IT products and assets, from planning and deployment to refresh, retirement, and replacement.
• Hardware Asset Lifecycle Management: Ability to govern hardware inventory, asset refresh programmes, warranty tracking, and end-of-life/end-of-support planning while ensuring compliance and cost optimization.
• Capacity Planning: Ability to forecast infrastructure, device, and resource requirements to support current and future business needs effectively.
• Programme & Project Planning: Ability to develop project plans, schedules, budgets, resource forecasts, and governance controls to successfully deliver lifecycle and transformation initiatives.
• Migration Planning & LMS/LCMS Knowledge: Ability to plan and execute technology migrations, refresh projects, and learning platform transitions while ensuring minimal business disruption and successful adoption.

The annual salary for this position is between $73,350- $115,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
