Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 8 to 12 years of experience in iSeries/AS400 Administration. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model with rotational shifts. This role involves managing and maintaining our iSeries/AS400 systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our IT infrastructure and contributing to the overall success of our organization.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain iSeries/AS400 systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Oversee system backups recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for iSeries/AS400 related issues.
  • Implement and monitor system security measures to protect data and systems.
  • Perform regular system upgrades and patches to keep systems up-to-date.
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate iSeries/AS400 systems with other technologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on iSeries/AS400 systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure system efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT projects related to iSeries/AS400 systems.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess strong experience in iSeries/AS400 Administration with a deep understanding of system operations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in system backups recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning.
  • Have a solid understanding of system security measures and best practices.
  • Show proficiency in troubleshooting and providing technical support for iSeries/AS400 systems.
  • Exhibit knowledge of system upgrades patches and performance monitoring.
  • Display the ability to collaborate effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain excellent documentation skills for system configurations and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Provide effective training and support to end-users.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and handle critical system support.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Assist in IT project development and implementation.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Certifications Required

    IBM Certified System Administrator - IBM i ITIL Foundation Certification
