The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Site Reliability Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build innovative, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.
Location: Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC.

Roles, Responsibilities & Required Qualifications
- We are seeking an experienced Architect with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. JD is more of a dev ops engineer who is strong in creating CI/CD pipelines for Gitlab, automating the code workflow, integration with tools like Sonar, Veracode, clover and so on.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Network, SRE, Cloud Storage, Serverless, Prometheus, Microservices, Jenkins, GITHUB, Apigee API Management, DevOps Tools, DevOps Concepts, DevSecOps.
Required Qualifications
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and reliable network architectures.
- Oversee the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Share a point of view in cloud storage solutions and serverless architectures.
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions using Prometheus.
- Develop and maintain microservices architecture for various applications.
- Apply Jenkins and GITHUB for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Manage and optimize Apigee API Management for seamless API integrations.
- Implement and advocate for DevOps tools and concepts within the team.
- Ensure security practices are integrated into the DevOps processes (DevSecOps).
- Leverage AWS Platform for deploying and managing applications.
- Use Docker and Container Registry for containerized application management.
- Set up and manage API Gateway for secure and efficient API traffic management.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of container environments.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Implement AWS DevOps practices for scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure.
- Use Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to manage cloud resources.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Ensure all solutions are aligned with industry best practices and company standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing systems and processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Contribute to the companys overall success by delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
- Impact society by ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems used by millions of users.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 – $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
