Role Overview
The BigCommerce Architect will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall technical architecture for BigCommerce based eCommerce solutions. This role requires extensive experience in building scalable robust and secure Shopify stores and apps while ensuring seamless integration with third party systems.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design and define the technical architecture for BigCommerce eCommerce solutions using Stencil and Catalyst themes.
Lead end to end solution design ensuring scalability performance and security.
Develop reusable architecture patterns for Shopify Theme and App development.
Drive the technical roadmap for Shopify implementations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide technical mentorship to developers and ensure best coding practices.
Ensure seamless integration with third party systems like ERPs PIMs CRMs and marketing platforms.
Conduct code reviews security audits and performance optimizations.
Stay updated with BigCommerces latest features APIs and development standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8 years of experience in Shopify development with expertise in themes NodeJS React NextJS other JS fameworks HTML5 CSS3 and REST APIs
Deep understanding of BigCommerces architecture Java Technologies headless commerce and certified.
Strong knowledge of BigCommerce features and capabilities experience in creating custom BigCommerce themes apps and integrating third party services.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
