Job description: Technical Program Manager

  • Drive large-scale multi-functional Hardware and Software programs
  • Define plans and drive development of new product launches
  • Own, build, organize, and manage project plans for key initiatives, including reporting/briefing, execution and tracking of program work, achievements, action items, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Evaluate program progress and results against program objectives, create or reengineer processes, tools, and/or structure to improve productivity and overall program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the various Program leads within the team to actively exchange information, decisions and conduct interlock sessions.
  • Work on multiple programs in parallel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate status on ongoing programs to partners and senior management.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, lead, and manage multiple projects under deadline pressure.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in software and hardware, embedded, networking, or cloud technologies, with new product introduction experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with process management and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Rally, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in facilitating continuous improvement and supporting senior leaders in cross-functional environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SaaS products and Agile development methodologies would be a plus.
  • Previous experience with server development and/or equipment development preferred.
  • Prior experience interacting with external vendors including liquid cooling technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $118K - $145K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
