Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful implementation of SAP Finance solutions.
- Analyse and map client’s business requirements, processes and objectives.
- Provide functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and solutions.
- Build credible relationship with clients, develop own professional learning of SAP products/ technologies and solutions.
- Assists in internal activities - remote/ spot consulting, presales, prepare training materials and provide knowledge sharing sessions.
- Present complex information to customers and colleagues in a clear and appealing manner.
- Understand Finance business processes and different modules.
Typical day to day responsibilities for this role will include:
- Implement Agile and DevOps methodologies as part of delivery execution.
- Review and refine effort estimations by analyzing business requirements for change requests and project requests.
- Review of functional design, configuration documents, functional specifications, test scripts, user training documentation created by team members.
- Identify at regular intervals risks and dependencies to delivery.
- Participate in discussions, presentations to customers at a strategic, advisory and consulting level.
- Demonstrate deep business domain, SAP technology and best practice expertise while providing technology solutions.
- Promote collaborative work culture, team bonding, transparency and work as One Team along with Customer, Cognizant and Business partner members.
- Build strong customer relationships and manage expectations.
- Comply to various quality metrics around delivery process.
- Pursue upskilling, updating SAP technology roadmaps and certification in SAP modules, related technology areas.
- Build a culture of knowledge management and regular contributions to SAP practice with case studies, knowledge assets and reuse accelerators.
- Drive solutioning for client proposals and RFP’s and participate in bid defence to customers.
- Participate in achieving business targets and financial goals.
- Prepare collaterals and publications for distribution in strategic areas related to SAP technology.
- Participate in industry seminars/ conference, as required, to share knowledge and build Cognizant brand.
- Participate in new talent selection, mentoring leads, senior SME’s to build SAP competency.
- Set clear and objective goals for team, recognize and award team members, evaluate performance and conduct regular appraisals.
Desirables:
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance, Treasury, MDG Finance, cFIN, Financial Close, Profitability analysis and intercompany reconciliation, Project Systems and integration with MM, SD and Plant Maintenance.
- Understanding of SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Good SAP Finance knowledge and understanding of business process requirements and capabilities with other key SAP integrated components.
- Experience in Implementation and ongoing business support of a Finance solution.
- Ability to clearly articulate and communicate technology concepts to different audiences (from senior to technical teams).
- Must have experience in Solution Architecture (or equivalent technology) roles.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Good analytical skills, results - oriented and effectiveness in problem solving.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in Finance Transformation projects, Group Reporting and S/4 HANA latest features.
