Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Architect with 16 to 19 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Cloud SQL Cloud Pub/Sub Cloud Composer Spark BigQuery Python Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow. This role will be hybrid with day shifts and no travel required. The Principal Architect will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cloud solutions that drive our business forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions using Cloud SQL Cloud Pub/Sub Cloud Composer Spark BigQuery Python Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.
- Oversee the development and deployment of scalable and secure cloud architectures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the performance scalability and reliability of cloud solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures and processes.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues in cloud implementations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing.
- Optimize cloud resources to achieve cost efficiency.
- Implement data security and compliance measures in cloud solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure and processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Qualifications
- Must have extensive experience with Cloud SQL Cloud Pub/Sub Cloud Composer Spark BigQuery Python Cloud Dataproc and Cloud Dataflow.
- Should have a strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Should have experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
- Must have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Should be able to work in a hybrid model with day shifts.
- Must have a proven track record of delivering high-quality cloud solutions.
Certifications Required
Certified Google Cloud Architect Certified Data Engineer
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $ 170,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
