Pyspark / Databricks
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pyspark/ Databricks lead with demonstrated ability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Databricks SQL, Databricks Workflows, and PySpark. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of data architecture and the ability to design and implement scalable data solutions. The position operates during the day shift, with no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data architectures using Databricks SQL and Databricks Workflows.
- Develop and optimize PySpark applications to process large datasets efficiently.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure seamless data integration and processing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Supervise the development and maintenance of data pipelines and workflows.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through meticulous testing and validation processes.
- Monitor and solve data processing issues to ensure timely resolution.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and standard processes in data architecture and big data technologies.
- Work closely with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures and workflows.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure consistency to best practices and coding standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processing frameworks and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
Certifications Required
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 – $ 140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
