Sr. Architect (UI)

As a Sr. Architect (UI) you will make an impact by leading the design and development of our front-end architecture. Building scalable high-performance web applications and using a deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks. You will be a valued member of our dynamic team and collaborate closely with other collaborators and teams.

In this role, you will

• Design and implement robust scalable and maintainable front-end architectures using Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Build reusable and modular components to streamline development and ensure consistency across the application.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with back-end developers, UX or UI designers, and other collaborators to deliver high-quality products.
• Ensure the codebase is clean maintainable and follows standard processes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

• 10+ years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Highly proficient in JavaScript (ES6plus) HTML5 CSS3 and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Vue.js core principles including components reactivity and the virtual DOM.
• Experience with the Nuxt.js framework for server-side rendering and static site generation.
• Proficient in using Vuex for state management.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.

What will help you stand out (preferred skills)

• Experience with other JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular
• Understanding of UI or UX design principles and experience working with design tools
• Familiarity with Agile development practices

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client office in Halifax.
