We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as SAP Basis Support Engineer
Roles & Responsibilities:
The SAP Basis Application Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of SAP systems across on‑premise, cloud (ECS), and hybrid environments. The role focuses on Basis administration, system monitoring, and integration support with SAP ECS platforms.
· Manages day-to-day deliverables of team on client engagements / projects.
· Ability to lead SAP Basis Team Members & lead conversations with Business Stake Holders, Partners, Leaders, Architects etc.,
· 6 to 10 yrs. of experience in Basis, S4 HANA, Fiori, Netweaver, HANA administration.
· Key technical skills S4 HANA. FIORI, Web dispatcher ,Upgrades, cloud connector, SSL certificates, BTP IS, Vertex, Paymetric.
· Manages day-to-day deliverables of team on client engagements / projects.
· Knowledge of Change management.
· Manages engagement/project risk to ensure that the firm’s risk policies as well as risk to client confidentiality is aligned at all times.
· Consistently reviews and analyses standard and quality of team deliverables and implements changes as necessary.
· Meets regularly with client and client teams to understand issues, anticipate needs and address them.
· Keeps Cognizant leadership team updated on status of engagement.
· Proactively identifies client service and technical issues and implements resolutions to address these.
· Good experience in AMS Projects.
· Plan and execute the activity like Application Maintenance, System Refresh . Lead and execute DR drill.
· Prepare maintenance calendar; co-ordinate and execute.
· Ability to lead and oversee the Audits, Risk Compliance and Business Continuity Plans.
· Work closely with functional and business teams in order to adequately support requirements.
· Provide technical leadership and continuous improvement ideas for defining and achieving objectives.
· Deep understanding of SAP Basis Workstream and provide hands-on leadership in supporting different SAP Components such as S/4HANA SAP ECC, SAP APO, SAP BW, SAP Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, SAP GRC, SAP EWM, SAP CALM, etc.,
Required experience
· DB Skills : HANA; Oracle.
· Should have in-depth skills and expertise in Service, Release Management and Technical Deployment. Change management.
· Should have very good communication skills, Leadership abilities and Stakeholders Management.
· Should be ready to learn / explore SAP technologies especially in Cloud and Infrastructure domain.
· Experience in Customer facing roles as Technical lead is desirable.
