Job Summary
The Technical Lead role is pivotal in driving the success of our software development projects. With a focus on mainframe technologies such as CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol the candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. This position requires a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience with a work model based in the office during day shifts. The role does not require travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust software solutions using CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the development lifecycle ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements translating them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the optimization and performance tuning of applications to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and testing to maintain high standards of code quality and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture processes and procedures.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of technology initiatives that align with company goals.
- Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders ensuring clarity and alignment on project objectives.
- Implement best practices in software development promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Drive process improvements and automation to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Possess a strong background in mainframe technologies including CICS VSAM JCL DB2 and Cobol.
