Role overview: The Ruby Tester will be responsible for ensuring software quality through test automation and manual testing, utilizing Ruby and related tools. This role involves collaborating with agile teams, coordinating onshore and offshore efforts, and contributing to CI/CD processes while leveraging domain knowledge in insurance to enhance testing strategies.
What you bring to the role:
· Minimum 4+ years of experience in test automation with at least 1+ yrs. of experience in Ruby.
· Must have experience automating testing processes using Ruby testing frameworks.
· Must have experience working in agile teams using BDD, Cucumber, Gitlab and Jenkins.
· Should be well versed in DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
· Added advantage if have worked as an automation architect to devise enterprise level automation solutions and frameworks with the aptitude to research, learn and new tools/technologies.
· Insurance domain experience is added advantage.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Should work and support on-shore offshore model.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts using Ruby and relevant automation tools.
- Execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software quality.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Coordinate with offshore teams for efficient testing execution and delivery.
- Participate in agile ceremonies to integrate quality throughout the development process.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress and issues.
