Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Product Specialist (T) with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in COBOL OAW Omni Script OmniLink and OmniPlus along with domain expertise in Life and Annuities Insurance. This hybrid role requires a proactive individual who can contribute to our innovative projects and help drive our mission forward.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications using COBOL OAW Omni Script OmniLink and OmniPlus to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for Life and Annuities Insurance projects.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards for high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements to improve product offerings.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed applications and systems.
  • Perform system testing and validation procedures to ensure software meets business requirements and quality standards.
  • Assist in the migration and integration of legacy systems to modern platforms to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.
  • Provide training and support to junior team members to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all development activities.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical skills in COBOL OAW Omni Script OmniLink and OmniPlus.
  • Demonstrate domain expertise in Life and Annuities Insurance.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Show proficiency in system testing and validation procedures.
  • Have experience in code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
  • Display strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Be capable of creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.
  • Have the ability to train and support junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Be proactive and self-motivated in a hybrid work model.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
