Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer with 14 to 18 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Databricks, Workflows Oracle, and Azure data factory. Experience in Cards & Payments and Asset & Wealth Management domains is a plus. This is a onsite work model with day shifts and no travel required.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and implementation of scalable data architectures using Databricks Workflows Oracle and Azure data factory.
- Supervise the development and deployment of data solutions that meet business requirements and performance standards.
- Provide technical expertise and mentorship to the team on standard processes for data engineering and analytics.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure flawless integration of data solutions with existing systems.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through meticulous testing and validation processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data architectures workflows and processes.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data solutions to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve data solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to ensure high-quality work.
- Participate in project planning and estimation activities to ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
- Communicate effectively with collaborators to understand their requirements and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Mentor and train junior team members to improve their technical skills and knowledge.
- Chip in to the companys overall data strategy and help drive innovation in data engineering and analytics.
Qualifications
- Must have extensive experience in Databricks Workflows Oracle and Azure data factory.
- Should have a strong understanding of data architecture principles and standard processes.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot sophisticated data issues.
- Should have experience in crafting and implementing scalable data solutions.
- Nice to have experience in Cards & Payments and Asset & Wealth Management domains.
- Must have strong communication and teamwork skills to work optimally with multi-functional teams.
- Should be able to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Must be proactive in staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Should have experience in project planning and estimation.
- Must be meticulous and committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Should have experience in conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Must be able to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Should have a strong understanding of data quality and validation processes.

Certified Data Engineer Professional Databricks Certified
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
