Healthcare Customer Service - Plano

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first point of contact to support patients on pre-test queries. Respond promptly to customer inquiries via telephone (inbound and outbound) and electronic channels regarding requests from prospective patients to know the test cost if they decide to process it.
  • Engage with customers/patients in a professional manner while actively listening to them. Ensure their issue or inquiry has been resolved by end of the call.
  • Responsible for day-to-day work and adherence to process flows. Ensure compliance per client agreement and SOP.
  • Support and/or triage respective customer technical issues.
  • Triage and/or schedule clinical inquiries to/for Genetic Counseling staff.
  • Participate in cross-functional and cross business process improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate will report to the Plano, Texas office. Operational hours are Monday through Friday – 7am-7pm CST – varies shifts available within operational hours.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in handling healthcare customer/patient contact center support projects
  • High School graduate or GED; 2-4 years undergraduate degree or certificate is a plus.
  • Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Positive, professional tone, voice, and demeanor.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suites apps (drive, Gmail, g-docs, g-sheets)
  • Experience in using dual monitors, multiple applications, and phone simultaneously. Keyboard skills and ability to enter data with accuracy.
  • Multi-linguals skills (Spanish) are a strong plus.
