Role overview

The ServiceNow Solution Architect - Service Portal in our Center of Excellence 0is responsible for the technical design and architecture of ServiceNow portal solutions, ensuring they align with business needs while maintaining scalability and performance. In collaboration with UI/UX experts, the Portal Architect provides technical guidance during design sessions, focusing on bringing to bear the platform’s capabilities and adhering to front-end standard processes. They offer high-level architectural direction, while addressing sophisticated technical challenges. The Solution Architect also provides hands-on support throughout the implementation process, ensuring the portal solution’s technical integrity meets both business and technical requirements. Additionally, they conduct peer reviews for technical resources and mentor team members to promote skill development and ensure the quality of work delivered.

What you’ll do

  • Lead requirements workshops and act as technical oversight in design discussions, collaborating on both ServiceNow and Front-End standard methodologies.
  • Run all important project processes such as: platform architecture documentation, integration documentation, work-effort estimation and hands-on sophisticated development.
  • Support presales initiatives
  • Translate requirements/stories and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with the implementation project team.
  • Complete technical development and configuration at the highest standard of technical quality, contributing with assignments, follow up and mentorship to Junior / Mid developers.
  • Provide technical design mentorship within our projects following ServiceNow standard processes.
  • Understand and guide on what frameworks, platform application, or technical stack can be used to devise a solution.
  • Share how the ServiceNow application will look, what modules will be in scope, and how they will interact with each other.
  • Reveal how the ServiceNow digital solution will scale in the future and how it will be supported.
  • Provides peer review for completed work.
  • Ability to define the Risk vs. Value Proposition for third party integrations with ServiceNow.
  • Ability to clearly define platform and project governance for all team members.
  • Fill technical or process roles in our projects, if needed.
  • Lead, educate, mentor and evolve Thirdera resources who are assigned on projects.
  • Assist in the prioritization of new opportunities, design tools and techniques to deliver efficiently.
  • Act as the owner for technical decision-making within a project.

What you bring to the role

Bachelor’s degree preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, or the Sciences

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

Certified Application Developer (CAD)

While HRSD and other CIS certifications are beneficial, this role prioritizes extensive front-end or full-stack experience. A solid understanding of scripting, App development, Web services, APIs, and mobile application design is also essential.
