Role: Datacenter Technician
Location: San Antonio, Texas (100% onsite)
Job Requirements:
· 4-6 years’ experience working in a Data Center Environment
· Have a strong background in wiring infrastructure installation and removal
· Have experience installing troubleshooting terminating labeling and testing copper Cat-5 6 and fiber optic wiring
· Experience troubleshooting server switch routers and other hardware in a sometimes fast paced environment
· Experience working on Windows OS with assisted strong problem-solving skills
· Experience working with Office products Word Excel PPT Visio and other remote utility tools Windows programs.
· Effective communication skills to coordinate with internal and vendor support teams and Proficiency in email communication
· Able to handle high Priority ticket situations to complete task during outages
- Must live in San Antonio TX (Working: fulltime Onsite)
· Willingness to respond and work during afterhours on On Call support on a rotational basis.
· Able to work on rotational shift between 7am to 7pm shifts
· Available for On Call 2 weeks rotating schedule 24/7 Data center support.
· Able to stand for long periods at a time in the Data Center
· Follow safety guidelines in the Data Center and DC Workroom. Wear steel toe or composite toe footwear.
· Ensure compliance with data security standards and best practices.
· High School Diploma or degree in computer science information technology or similar.
· Have a valid TX Driver License
· Must have reliable self-transportation at any point in time.
· Can lift up to 50-75 pounds.
