We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Content Partner Operations Copy Editor .
Job Summary
The Partner Advantage Governance team is the central hub for reviewing and elevating all external-facing communications across Cloud. We handle a high volume of content, including pitch decks, sales plays, guides, webinar materials, announcements, and more, ensuring they are partner-ready and adhere to Cloud's stringent brand and legal guidelines. Our work directly impacts partner engagement and is often utilized by client field sellers.
Responsibilities:
● Content Editing & Governance:
○ Copy edit and proofread partner-facing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
○ Enforce Client Cloud's Cloudstyle guidelines, including brand voice, tone, and visual standards.
○ Review all content in assigned documents to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting and consistency
○ Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, including trademark, copyright, data privacy, and proper citation of sources.
○ Verify and validate customer and partner references, metrics, and data.
○ Remove or replace internal references, links, and jargon to make content partner-ready.
○ Ensure accurate use of Partner Advantage terminology.
○ Rewrite content to align with Google Cloud's style and tone.
○ Apply formatting standards for dates, numbers, and acronyms.
○ Rename files using standard file naming conventions.
○ Identify and mitigate legal and reputational risks associated with content.
○ Ensure proper use of logos, icons, and imagery.
○ Prevent the use of unapproved third-party content.
○ Work independently with minimal supervision, adhering to strict guidelines.
○ Respond promptly to requests and escalate issues as needed.
○ Provide timely and accurate feedback to stakeholders.
○ Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing.
○ Document and monitor the resolution of all content issues
○ Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
○ Provide a consultative approach, understanding stakeholder and audience needs.
○ Maintain clear and professional communication.
○ Determine and communicate risks, milestones, and content QA progress to client stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Native, professional proficiency in English.
● Superior ability to ensure adherence to style guides, both standard and client-specific
● Proven track record as a highly skilled copy editor.
● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
● Deep understanding of the partner ecosystem and partner-focused messaging.
● Strong grasp of partner business models and engagement.
● Ability to adapt to Client Cloud's Cloudstyle and Partner Advantage writing style.
● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
● Ability to work in North American time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Foundational knowledge of Google Cloud's brand and products.
● Prior experience working with Google Cloud.
● Experience with google workspace.
● Working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) is desirable
