Job Summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced and proficient Senior Network Monitoring Specialist with deep understanding of ThousandEyes to join our network operations team. As an L3 expert you will play a crucial role in maintaining the performance and reliability of our network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include advanced monitoring troubleshooting and optimization of network paths internet visibility and cloud application performance using the ThousandEyes platform.


Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all ThousandEyes-related issues providing expert guidance and troubleshooting for complex network performance problems.
  • Lead the design and implementation of ThousandEyes agents tests and monitoring solutions across the organizations network data centers and cloud services.
  • Utilize ThousandEyes to proactively identify network performance issues analyze data and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accurate deployment and configuration of ThousandEyes for monitoring purposes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports in ThousandEyes to provide real-time visibility into network performance and application delivery.
  • Investigate network outages latency issues and anomalies and work towards timely resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ThousandEyes features best practices and industry trends to continuously improve network performance monitoring.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to L2 and L1 support teams contributing to their skill development in ThousandEyes proficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to address critical network issues outside of regular business hours.

  • Hands-on experience in configuring managing and troubleshooting network performance using ThousandEyes.
  • ThousandEyes certification(s) is strong plus
  • Strong proficiency in network protocols routing and network monitoring tools beyond ThousandEyes (example- SNMP NetFlow Wireshark PRTG SolarWinds etc)
  • Demonstrated expertise in TCP-IP BGP DNS CDN and WAN technologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.
  • Excellent communications and collaboration skills for cross-functional team engagement.
  • Proven experience working in fast-paced high-demand network environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS Azure GCP) and their impact on network performance.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation for network monitoring and reporting (Python Bash or similar).

    • Years of Experience 6 plus years of experience.


    Certifications Required

    Azure Solutions Architect Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certified Python Developer
