We are seeking a Salesforce Architect (Chief Architect - Director level) to join our North American Salesforce team supporting our Cognizant Moment CXCRM practice!

As a proven leader and experienced Salesforce Architect, you will assist Moment clients align business strategy with technology execution across North America. You will work closely with senior business and technology leaders from our clients – guiding them through complex transformations that deliver significant business value.

Location

Desired locations for this role are Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas, Bridgewater/Teaneck, NJ or Chicago, IL. At Cognizant, we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible, and we are here to support a healthy work-life balance though our various wellbeing programs. If you are within a 50 mile radius of a Cognizant office, we prefer you work from a Cognizant office 3 days a week unless you are traveling to a client site.

This role requires 50% travel.

What you’ll do

  • Lead high-impact Salesforce engagements by establishing credibility, building trust, and taking ownership of complex client issues.
  • Drive alignment across delivery teams, overseeing the development and integration of Salesforce applications to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Design and evolve business architecture artifacts, including capability maps, value streams, and operating models, to translate strategic intent into actionable transformation roadmaps.
  • Shape and grow our salesforce capabilities by creating reusable assets, delivery methods, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and drive integrated strategies in collaboration with key Cognizant stakeholders, ensuring alignment across business value, architecture, and delivery.
  • Mentor junior developers, contribute to best practices documentation, and drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies.

What you bring

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in business architecture, strategic planning, or enterprise transformation roles.
  • Proven ability to translate complex strategies into clear, actionable business capability roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of how digital platforms, data, cloud, and AI technologies drive business performance.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills—able to connect with C-level stakeholders and delivery teams alike.
  • Demonstrated success as an engagement lead, solution lead, or people leader on large-scale strategy or transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong project leadership experience in an agile or hybrid delivery environment.
  • A collaborative leadership style grounded in humility, empathy, and continuous feedback.
  • Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Salesforce Certified Application Architect.
  • General working knowledge of / experience with CCaaS platforms is a plus.

The annual base salary for this position is between $230,000 and $250,000. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
