Technical Lead

We are seeking a talented Technical Lead to join our forward-thinking team. If you have a passion for optimizing database performance and creating robust data models, this hybrid role is perfect for you.

As a Technical Lead, you will spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge database solutions, leveraging your expertise in DB Performance Optimization, Data Modelling, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, TSQL, AWS, Redshift, Databricks, DBT, and data modelling (Vault or dimensional). Your innovative approach and deep understanding of database architecture will be crucial in driving our mission to deliver high-quality, efficient, and secure data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of database solutions to optimize performance and scalability.
  • Oversee data modeling activities to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Provide expertise in Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift to manage and analyze large datasets.
  • Develop and optimize TSQL queries to enhance database performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure that all database solutions adhere to industry best practices and security standards.
  • Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of database systems.
  • Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for database architectures, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve database solutions.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the company by ensuring that database solutions support business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS, Redshift, Databricks, DBT, and data modelling (Vault or dimensional).
  • Strong experience in DB Performance Optimization to ensure efficient database operations.
  • Expertise in Data Modelling to create robust and scalable data structures.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift for managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Proficiency in TSQL for developing and optimizing database queries.
  • Domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance to understand and address industry-specific requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve database-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality database solutions.
  • Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
