Senior Account Manager – RMS – 12-month FTC
Cognizant Moment: Cognizant Moment is the Retailer Marketing Agency for BMW Group. We work with the BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and BMW Motorrad brands to deliver marketing campaigns, guidance and tools to their network of Retailers/ dealers. In this instance we are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join the Retailer Marketing Service team, responsible for directly supporting the Retailer network across the UK and Ireland with local marketing and encouraging engagement with BMW Group campaigns.
Role Purpose: This role is responsible for managing relationships with select clients and co-managing the day-to-day running of the team. Externally they will develop relationships with key clients, encouraging the uptake of our services and troubleshooting and advising on marketing strategies. Internally they will work collaboratively with other teams including strategy, client service, delivery, platforms and programs.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave.
Main Responsibilities
Client Management
- Identify and resolve issues before they arise.
- Work collaboratively with other agency teams, including delivery, strategy, UX and technology to ensure the best result for your client(s).
- Plan and lead presentations and meetings.
- Give good strategic advice to clients based upon previous experience.
- Liaise with clients regularly (responding to briefs, attending meetings, status reporting, information seeking, managing milestones and approvals).
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships so that they trust and value your opinions.
- Monitor Retailers' engagement with services, platforms and programs and report regularly to the Account Director and the client.
- Project manage and deliver end-to-end campaign and project performance.
Commercial Awareness
- Identify opportunities for driving business growth and highlight these to the Account Director.
- Improve working methods with clients on a continuous basis.
- Involvement in pitching and proposals.
- Produce case studies, research documents and other collateral.
Leadership and Management
- Ensure that everyone you manage has regular appraisals, clear objectives and a career plan to work towards and that they have the skills required to meet your client’s objectives.
- Deputise for the Account Director when necessary.
- Manage and measure team capacity ensuring all required tasks and work is delivered on time.
- Manage the team's day-to-day efforts and ensure that all members have enough support to carry out their role.
Your Experience
- Marketing agency experience
- Strong knowledge and experience of social media strategy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent project management skills, with experience of managing budgets, estimates and schedules.
- Strong client management skills with the proven ability to add value to clients and to drive revenue from existing accounts.
- Strong problem-solving/ troubleshooting skills
- Experience of running projects of £50k + from start to finish
- Line management experience
- Experience of managing a team (desirable)
- In-depth understanding of social media, SEO and digital marketing (desirable)
