Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of new product features using DevOps TeamSite Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE.
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features that align with business goals.
  • Ensure the scalability and reliability of applications by implementing best practices in coding and DevOps.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and performance standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and future enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development processes.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development practices.
  • Engage in regular communication with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather requirements.
  • Optimize application performance and ensure security compliance throughout the development process.
  • Drive innovation by proposing and implementing new tools and technologies that enhance productivity and product quality.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps TeamSite Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE.
  • Should have a strong background in New Product Development-Tech.
  • Nice to have experience in hybrid work models and day shift operations.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Should have a proven track record of leading development projects and delivering high-quality software.
  • Must be proficient in implementing CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices.
  • Should have strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be proactive detail-oriented and capable of working independently.
  • Should have experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers.
  • Must be committed to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Should have a strong understanding of application performance optimization and security compliance.
  • Must be able to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

The annual salary for this position is between $65 - 110k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
