We are seeking a highly skilled Network Architect who is passionate about creating innovative solutions with a deep knowledge of network layers, firewalls, Cloud infrastructure, and a security-first mindset. The ideal candidate will have experience with Palo Alto firewalls in a Cloud environment and will be able to work collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and product managers.

As a Network Architect at Cognizant TriZetto, you understand network tooling and configuration, infrastructure, and relevant integration points. You discuss and explain inbound/outbound data flow, and other functional and technical aspects of solution architecture. You will work with internal stakeholders to understand how our solutions fit into various environments, and you will maintain the network architecture and design to meet our existing standards, while evaluating those and proposing updates/changes as needed.

Job Title: Network Architect Manager

Role: Individual Contributor Internal-Facing Role

Essential Functions:

· Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructures

· Lead the planning, configuration, and maintenance of network systems

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business objectives

· Oversee network security, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting

· Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network capabilities

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

· At least 3-5 years of experience in purely networking roles, with a proven track record of delivering with high-quality and consistency

· Experience designing LAN/WAN, Cloud and Hybrid networks

· Understanding of high availability (HA), redundancy, load balancing, and failover strategies

· Understanding of load and how to build scalable solutions

· Experience designing network segments (Zero Trust, DNZ, VPN, etc).

· Deep understanding of firewall design – Palo Alto a plus

· Experience working with Azure VNets, AWS VPCs, ExpressRoute, and micro-segmentation

· Ability to build and deliver on Cloud migration plans, Business Continuity Planning, and DR network architecture

Desired Experience:

· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field: Advanced education to enhance technical expertise

· Cloud platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure and knowledge of cloud-native development and deployment practices

· Containerization and orchestration: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization and orchestration tools

· DevOps practices: Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

· Security practices: Understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement them in firewalls and throughout the Cloud network stack

· Development/scripting experience a plus, especially in PowerShell and Azure Runbooks

Behavioral Competencies:

· Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.

· Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Competencies:

Routing, VLANs, IP subnetting and route summarization, end-to-end network architecture understanding, Authorization, Zero-Trust Architecture, Terraform exposure, Software-Defined Networking patterns, Wireshark, traffic analysis, Load Balancers, CDNs, multi-path, and CI/CD

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applicants will be accepted till 6/16/2025

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $113K-$132K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
