Principal Architect- Databricks

About the role

As a Principal Architect you will make an impact by specializing in Databricks and Supply Chain for Consumer Goods, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing advanced data solutions. Your expertise in Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, and PySpark will drive innovation and efficiency in our supply chain processes. You will be a valued member of the AIA team and work closely with teammates and customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures using Databricks technologies to optimize supply chain operations.
  • Oversee the integration of Databricks SQL and Delta Lake to ensure seamless data flow and real-time analytics capabilities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities that improve consumer goods supply chain efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using PySpark to support complex data transformations and analytics.
  • Guarantee data quality and integrity through the use of standard methodologies in data governance and management.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies to improve data processing and analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with collaborators to grasp business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of insights.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to upskill team members on Databricks and related technologies.

What you need to have to be considered

  • 15+ years of experience in an IT related role
  • In depth knowledge of Databricks SQL, Data Lake, and PySpark.
  • Experience in overseeing an integration with successful implementation.
  • Experience in Supply Chain for Consumer Goods

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until June 29, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000- $165,000 UDS depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
