Job Summary:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing projects within the Telecom and Networks domain. With a hybrid work model and day shift you will ensure seamless project delivery leveraging your expertise in project management. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in project management, a deep understanding of telecom infrastructure and the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee project planning execution and monitoring utilizing your expertise in project management methodologies.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communication ensuring transparency and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project challenges.
• Coordinate with telecom and network specialists to ensure technical requirements are met and integrated seamlessly.
• Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations within the telecom and networks domain.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge in project management.
• Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Collaborate with product management teams to align project deliverables with product strategies.
• Utilize hybrid work models to balance remote and onsite project activities effectively.
• Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans including scope objectives timelines and resource allocation. Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders including clients’ vendors and internal teams to gather requirements, address issues and report on project progress
• Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams providing guidance, motivation and support to ensure project goals are met
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations

Qualifications:

• Possess a strong background in project management with proven experience in the telecom and networks domain.
• Demonstrate expertise in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Have a solid understanding of industry standards and regulations related to telecom and networks.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Show proficiency in risk management and problem-solving techniques to address project challenges.
• Display knowledge of product management principles as a nice-to-have skill.
• Bring a minimum of 8 years of experience in project management with a maximum of 12 years preferred.

Certifications Required:

PMP Certification is mandatory for this role with additional certifications in telecom or networks being advantageous.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position depends on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
